TRAINING COORDINATION is overseen by the Training Program Manager who is responsible for overseeing compliance with State and ColumbiaCare regulations. All external training providers are screened for their ability to deliver learning that meets ColumbiaCare standards.
STANDARD CURRICULUM is applied to both pre-service training and annual requirements and designed specifically for ColumbiaCare and the clients we serve.
ZOOM is used by ColumbiaCare to connect with employees all over the state for trainings, meetings and new procedure implementation. It also allows for the Administrative Teams to provide great customer service to our residential facilities and community-based programs.
VERBAL & PHYSICAL INTERVENTIONS (VPI) is our live, ColumbiaCare-designed class for training verbal and physical de-escalation techniques for the protection and safety for both clients and staff. Employees working with clients are certified every 2 years.
FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING allows Administrators and Program Managers to stay in touch with the Medford Executive Team and Support Services staff.
APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST) is the most widely used suicide intervention skills training in the world and is provided to every staff member working with clients or residents.
LEADERSHIP ROUNDTABLES allow our professionals and specialists in every field area to enhance their leadership skills while staying current on industry trends.
RELIAS LEARNING provides standardized online training courses specifically designed for ColumbiaCare. Through Relias, employees are able to take courses, view progress as well as register for live classes. Relias also offers a library of accredited elective courses that are available to staff to earn CEUs (all required trainings must be completed prior to using this feature).
COLUMBIACARE CONFERENCES are held to provide face-to- face opportunities for Leadership Team members to build their skills through sharing during formal conference presentations and trainings as well as at informal social gatherings.
NEW HIRE ORIENTATIONS are offered weekly in Portland and Medford to welcome our new employees to ColumbiaCare. Our Training Coordinators prepare individualized training schedules for employees based on their job duties and responsibilities.
MANAGEMENT ORIENTATIONS are held at ColumbiaCare’s Administrative Office for management level staff. This allows new management employees to connect face-to-face with the Admin Office Team to provide personalized training. It also provides an opportunity for employees to network with their fellow coworkers before starting their new position.
TRAINING INCENTIVE PROGRAM is to reward eligible hourly employees for staying up-to-date on their training requirements! Employees who are 100% current on training (documented and submitted on time) will receive a $50 training bonus each quarter. Employees that stay current for all 4 quarters will be entered into an annual drawing for the Training Jackpot in which two employees will win $500 each.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY is our 6-month individualized internal employee development program to prepare staff for management roles within the company.
