MADRONE RIDGE
Madrone Ridge (est. 2022) is a state-licensed, Secure Residential Treatment Facility that serves up to 8 (eight) individuals living with a Serious Mental Illness, who have been charged with a crime, but determined to be unable to aid and assist in their own defense.
Clients receive residential services, mental health treatment, and a combination of education and skills training necessary to best facilitate their return to capacity. Madrone Ridge staff work with community partners for other specialty services as needed, including criminal justice agencies and the Oregon State Hospital (OSH) to ensure requirements of the court are being met. Program staff also coordinate and schedule psychological evaluations that determine client ability to stand trial.
The Madrone Ridge program is intended to reduce unnecessary reliance on higher levels of care; to serve individuals with safety, dignity and respect; to provide support as residents work towards improved mental health, and ultimately the ability to cooperate, understand and participate in the court process and their own legal defense.
Madrone Ridge is located on the Junction City Hospital campus in a home-like and therapeutic yet secure environment. There are both single and double occupancy rooms available. The program is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by professional team of staff that includes a Facility Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Master's-level Qualified Mental Health Professional, Qualified Mental Health Associates, and visiting Nurse. Clinical treatment is supervised by a Licensed Medical Professional. Occupancy may range from 90 days to 3 years.
